The Kingdom of God is essential in Jesus's eyes. How do we know this? Cause in Acts chapter one it tells us that he spoke about the Kingdom for forty days with the apostles. This shows us that we must also be serious about the Kingdom of God. We disciples of Christ have been gifted with the Holy Spirit. Which itself is power from God and we are all God's witnesses.
As disciples, we should be devoted to prayer like those before us and pray to God about all things that weigh our hearts. (Philippians 4:6-7) The Holy Spirit came to the apostles giving them the knowledge of God and many different languages. They boldly shared their faith with many people and within the crowds of people, some people mocked (persecuted) them. They did not let that stop them. This example that they set tells us a few things.
The first thing is that the Holy Spirit gives us the understanding of the scriptures which many of us seek, Through this like the apostle we become witnesses of the Lord, and his deeds and attain knowledge of him. Through this many people will oppose us because we do understand the scriptures. However, just like the apostles and the believers during that time we must not coward. Instead, stand firm in what we have learned, be patient, and teach those who do not understand or do not know God.
By the apostle's example, they were able to baptize many others. Those who were baptized were devoted to the teaching we now know as the bible(the apostle's teachings), eating together(breaking of bread), and prayer. What more can I say? Well, I'll tell you clearly. It's important for us as disciples to be devoted to the same things
As the Lord's people, we must rejoice in him and hold our ground in faith and hope. For we know how to live life through Christ. By doing this we will be blessed in the presence of the Lord. There is no question for us who is Lord cause we all know Jesus of Nazareth is Lord and through Jesus, the Lord's promises are fulfilled.
